The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) on Tuesday said its troops repelled a sea attack in the coastal area of southern Israel, noting that there are currently no further threats to the region.
The military clarified that Hamas fighters emerged through a tunnel shaft, where at least 10 of them were killed by the IDF troops who also managed to neutralize the weapons warehouse used by the group.
The news comes after the Palestinian branch of Hamas had previously claimed that its fighters had successfully "infiltrated" the Zikim area by sea.
