Israel Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said on Wednesday that Iran's alleged actions against Israel were meant to "stop the normalization and the peace process that took place in the last three years." Additionally, Cohen strongly denounced Iran's financial support of Hamas.

During his meeting with European Union (EU) parliamentarians in Brussels, Cohen emphasized that "Iran is the world's number one financier of terror." He further highlighted that Iran's attacks are not solely carried out by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, but also by "Hezbollah in our northern border and also by the Houthis in Yemen."

Previously, RIA Novosti reported, citing Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Avichay Adraee, that the country is certain of Iran's financial support of Hamas.
