Israel provided the sensitive intelligence used for the attack on Houthis, which was described by United States National Security Adviser Mike Waltz in the leaked Signal chat between the Trump administration's senior security officials, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing two US officials.
According to the report, the information about the key target of the attacks, a Houthi missile expert, came from a human source in Yemen and was provided to the US officials by Israeli sources. The report also stated that Israeli officials criticized the US officials privately for Waltz's messages becoming public.
The White House and US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard previously claimed that no classified information was shared in the leaked chat, echoing Waltz's statement.
