The Israel Defense Forces said on Friday that during recent operations in Tel al-Sultan, Rafah, they eliminated Ahmad Iyad Muhammad Farhat, who was allegedly the head of sniper operations for Hamas' Tel al-Sultan Battalion. Farhat was believed to be responsible for "planning and executing sniper attacks against IDF troops," as well as other activities aimed to harm Israel.
Moreover, the IDF said that it eliminated "several" armed individuals, dismantling infrastructure, and neutralizing explosive devices in Tel al-Sultan and Shabura areas. In the 'Morag' Corridor, forces deepened their efforts overnight, targeting both above and below-ground sites.
In northern Gaza, IDF troops identified and eliminated "armed" individuals operating in a nearby building, using tank fire. It said it struck around 40 targets in Gaza, including weapon storage sites and operational infrastructure.
