Israel authorizes declaration of war

The Israeli security cabinet officially declared the country at war empowering the government to take the necessary military actions in response to the ongoing conflict with Palestine.

This decision was made in response to the recent infiltration by Hamas terrorists in southern Israel resulting in significant casualties.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously stated that Israel was already at war due to the Hamas incursion.
