US lower in premarket ahead of Fed Beige Book release

Equities in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Wednesday ahead of the release of the Federal Reserve's newest Beige Book. The country will also see the latest reports on its existing home sales and crude oil stocks.

The market was also influenced by Netflix Inc.'s first-quarter performance, which fell short of expectations and caused the company's shares to sink by more than 20% in after-hours trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.20% at 4:12 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 went down by 0.81% or 114 points at 4:13 am ET. At the same time, the S&P 500 fell by 0.45%. The euro gained 0.23% to the dollar at 4:14 am ET to sell for $1.08126.
