Israel has begun releasing 110 Palestinian prisoners after a delay under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in a swap for the release of three hostages previously held in Gaza by Palestinian factions.
Crowds of Palestinians erupted as the captives arrived in West Bank's Ramallah and southern Gaza's Khan Younis. The Palestinian abductees include 32 sentenced to life, 48 with various sentences and 30 children.
This is the third such exchange under the Hamas-Israel ceasefire agreement and followed a halt on the prisoner's release over the chaotic environment that followed the latest release of Israeli prisoners by Hamas.
