The Israeli government has given the green light for a retaliatory attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

Israel, along with the United States, has accused the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah of attacking the Israel-controlled Golan Heights. This attack resulted in the tragic deaths of 12 young individuals, ranging in age from 10 to 20 years old, and left approximately 40 others injured.

Earlier today, Israel's security cabinet empowered Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to decide on the "manner and timing" of the response. On the other side, Lebanon called for an international investigation into the matter.
