Israel has refused to respond to an offer for a long truce with Hamas that the group asked for, Al-Arabiya reported on Friday citing "informed" sources.
However, according to the outlet, Israel did offer to agree to a ceasefire under the condition that Hamas release all hostages, which the group rejected.
Earlier in the day, Al-Jazeera reported that the two sides are nearing an agreement on a ceasefire and hostage exchange.
