Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed on Monday in a post in Telegram that its 188th Brigade killed "21 terrorists" during a confrontation with Hamas at the entrance of the Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza.
According to the Israeli army, the Hamas members unleashed RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) launchers at their troops, prompting a response involving armored vehicles, engineering units, infantry troops, and support from the Air Force. The IDF stated that "the shooting was carried out by a terrorist squad that had embedded itself within a group of civilians at the entrance of the hospital," while also reporting no casualties among the Israeli military but acknowledging that a tank sustained damage during the clashes.
"This incident is another example of Hamas' continued abuse of civilian structures, including hospitals, to carry out attacks," the IDF concluded.
