Israel says it killed Hamas commander in Khan Yunis

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that it eliminated the commander of Hamas' Nukhba Unit, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, in collaboration with Shin Bet.

"Abd al-Hadi Sabah was one of the leaders of the raid on the Nir Oz Kibbutz area during the horrific massacre on October 7. Additionally, during the war, he advanced and directed numerous terror activities against our forces," the army said in the statement.

The Hamas official was killed in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip, with the IDF claiming he was operating within the humanitarian area in Khan Yunis. The Israeli forces noted that "extensive measures were taken to minimize the risk of harm to civilians" before the attack.
