The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday that it eliminated a Hezbollah operative, Muhammad Ja'far Manoah Assad Abdullah, in a drone strike in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
"The terrorist engaged in terrorist activity against the State of Israel and was responsible, among other things, for deploying Hezbollah's communications systems throughout Lebanon, and in particular in the southern Litani region," the Israeli military said, claiming that Abdullah's activities violated the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, another Hezbollah official, Wafic Safa, said in an interview with the group's Al-Nur station today that the militant group categorically refuses to discuss surrendering its weapons to the Lebanese army until Israel completely withdraws from the south
