The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) struck Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The military also reported detecting 15 rocket launches from Lebanon, with some intercepted and others landing in open areas without causing harm.

The news comes after Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching "dozens of Katyusha rockets" at Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel, citing it as a response to previous Israeli attacks.

Israel says it attacked Hezbollah infrastructure

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday that they carried out an attack on Hezbollah infrastructure and rocket launchers near the city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon. They did not specify the damage dealt or whether there were any casualties.The IDF added that it killed a Hezbollah operative earlier today in the Hula area in southern Lebanon. They identified the militant as the head of engineering for Hezbollah in the Al-Adaysa compound.

The Lebanese army said on Sunday that the country's Intelligence Directorate obtained information about preparations for a new rocket attack on the Israeli military in the occupied Palestinian territories.The military said a raid was carried out in the Sidon-Zahrani area in southern Lebanon, where a number of missiles and launch pads were seized and several individuals were arrested.
