The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Thursday that it attacked the Hamas command center in Gaza, located inside the Khan Younis municipality building, within the designated humanitarian zone.
"The Hamas terror group systematically violates international law, while viciously using the cover of civilian shelters, civilian buildings and the civilian population as a human shield while carrying out terror activities," the IDF stated.
The military claimed that Hamas used the command center to "plan and execute acts of terrorism" against Israeli troops.
