The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday through a post on Telegram that it had struck the "terrorist cell" responsible for firing a ground-to-air missile from Lebanon toward an Israeli drone.
"Tonight, a ground-to-air missile was launched from Lebanese territory towards an IDF UAV. In response, the Israel Defense Forces attacked the terrorist cell that fired the missile and the launch site. The UAV was not damaged," the statement reads.
In addition, the IDF said it also targeted the source of several launches "from Lebanon toward the area of Har Dov and Mount Hermon in northern Israel." According to the army, the projectiles landed in unpopulated areas.
