Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned on Friday that there will be "no peace in Beirut" without guarantees for Israel's security, following airstrikes on Beirut's neighborhoods and parts of southern Lebanon. His remarks came in response to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun's condemnation of the overnight attacks.
Katz stressed that Lebanon must disarm Hezbollah and halt drone production, warning that Israel will continue acting "with great force" if agreements are not upheld.
The raids occurred just before the Eid al-Adha holiday, escalating cross-border tensions once again.
