The Israeli Foreign Ministry criticized Honduras for recalling its ambassador to Israel and implored the country to condemn the actions of the Palestinian branch of Hamas.
The ministry urged the Honduran government to express support for Israel's right to defend itself and refrain from taking actions that may inadvertently support "terrorism."
Honduran President Xiomara Castro (pictured) cited the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza as the reason for the ambassador recall. This move follows similar actions by Chile and Colombia, who also recalled their diplomats.
