Israel's Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) announced that 169 humanitarian aid packages were airdropped over northern Gaza during the day on Monday.
The countries involved in the airdrop include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, Jordan, France, Belgium and the United States. However, specific details about the content and quantity of aid in the packages were not disclosed. In addition to the airdrop, the agency reported that Israeli forces inspected and transferred 149 aid trucks to Gaza on Monday.
The international collaborative effort comes amid concerns over the slow pace of assistance reaching the besieged enclave, as Israeli protesters continue to obstruct humanitarian trucks entering the region.
