The Israeli military claimed on Monday that four reserve soldiers were killed in an "operational accident" in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that while troops were inspecting a tunnel in the Labbouneh region of southern Lebanon, an explosion occurred due to a stockpile of Hezbollah armaments and explosives that had been hidden there.
The servicemen who lost their lives were Major Evgeny Zinershain, Captain Sagi Ya'akov Rubinshtein, Master Sergeant Binyamin Destaw Negose, and Sergeant First Class Erez Ben Efraim. Each of them was part of the 9263rd Battalion within the 226th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade.
