Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen (pictured) claimed on Tuesday that the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres "does not deserve" to be the leader of the organization.

"Guterres did not promote any peace process in the [Middle East] region," Cohen said during a press briefing in Geneva. Furthermore, he urged the official to call on the world to "free Gaza from Hamas."

Additionally, Cohen stressed, after he met with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, that the organization did not meet with any Israeli hostages captured by Hamas and that there is no proof that they are alive.
