Russian Defense Ministry announced in a Telegram post on Tuesday that the country's servicemen intercepted two Ukrainian drones over the territories of the Kursk and Orel regions.
According to the ministry, both drones were destroyed. On the other hand, the head of the Zaporizhzhia public movement "We are together with Russia," Vladimir Rogov, said on his Telegram channel that Russian air defense systems repelled an attack by Ukrainian troops on the town of Tokmak, adding that the details of the incident were being clarified.
It was also reported that in the first week of 2024, eight civilians were killed and 44 were wounded in the Donetsk People's Republic as a result of the actions of Ukrainian troops, the Human Rights Ombudsman in the region Daria Morozova noted.
