Israeli missiles hit Damascus International Airport activating Syrian air defenses which shot down a number of projectiles, SANA news agency reported, quoting a military source. The agency posted footage of air defenses firing in the air but gave no information on casualties or damage.
The Israeli army did not comment on the incident but a war monitoring group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the attack targeted an arms depot near the airport where the new weapons arrived for Iranians or Lebanon's Hezbollah group are reportedly stashed, news agencies reported.
