Israeli officials involved in Gaza ceasefire negotiations said no breakthrough has been reached, the Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported on Friday. The unnamed sources noted some progress with mediators from the United States, Qatar and Egypt, but added that talks were limited by the absence of a Hamas delegation.
The officials added that core issues between Israel and Hamas have not been resolved yet. The negotiations will continue over the weekend in Doha and Cairo.
