Israeli warplanes strike refugee camp in Gaza

Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes early Wednesday on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to reports from Al Jazeera Arabic. The attacks also targeted the Al-Amal neighborhood near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while heavy artillery shelling hit areas east of Gaza City.

There were no immediate reports of casualties from the attacks.

Earlier, two people were killed and several injured when strikes hit tent shelters housing displaced families in Khan Younis.
