Annual inflation in Italy ran at 1.9% in March, up from 1.6% registered in February, the country's National Statistics Office (INE) shared in its final report on Wednesday. The figure was slightly lower compared to the preliminary reading.
Month on month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.3%. Core consumer prices, excluding energy and unprocessed food, jumped 1.7% year over year.
In March, the Italian harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) rose by 1.6% on a monthly basis, and saw a 2.1% growth on an annual level.
