Italy's trade surplus stood at €5.4 billion in June, dropping from the surplus of €6.2 billion registered in May and increasing from €5.1 billion reported in June 2024, the country's National Institute of Statistics (Istat) revealed in a report published on Monday. Excluding energy, the trade balance surplus reached €9.3 billion.
On an annual basis, exports rose by 4.9% in monetary terms and by 0.8% in volume in the reported month, while imports jumped by 4.8% in monetary terms compared to the same period in the previous year, and increased by 2.6% in volume.
