Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called on Friday for "absolute de-escalation" between Israel and Iran after another strike on Iranian territory. Israel has not officially taken responsibility for the attack.
"We invite everyone to be cautious, to avoid a further escalation," Tajani said, adding that Italian citizens in Iran are safe. "It is an area where there is great tension and a very delicate situation in the Red Sea where we must protect merchant traffic and guarantee that Italy can export its products," he told Rai News.
