Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida pledged on Tuesday that the country will strive to achieve diplomatic success via what he described as "realism diplomacy."
Speaking at an event held by World Economic Forum, he added that Tokyo will take "a realistic approach in its foreign policy while aspiring to the ideal."
China and North Korea have intensified their activities that threaten to destabilize the region, Kishida warned, stressing that "the harsh and complex international situation" must not be ignored.
