The Japanese economy expanded by 0.7% in the first quarter on a quarterly basis, according to the second report by the Cabinet Office on Thursday. The previous estimate saw the country's gross domestic product (GDP) increasing by 0.4% in the same period.
On an annual basis, the nation's GDP rose by 2.7%. Domestic demand slightly improved from the first preliminary report to land at 1%, with private demand boosting the score to 1.2%.
