Industrial production in Japan climbed moderately by 2% in June compared to May, to land at 105.3, the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry revealed in its report.
Year-on-year, the industrial output was down by 0.4% to 107.9.
Shipments grew 1.5% from May, and increased 0.6% on a yearly basis, while inventories slipped 0.1% on a monthly basis. The figure was up 5.6% compared to the corresponding month a year before. The inventory ratio declined 1.2% monthly, but grew 9.8% annually.
