US captures ISIS official in Syria

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it conducted a helicopter raid in Syria that resulted in the capture of an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) official.

According to the statement, the CENTCOM and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured an official named Batar, who was allegedly "involved in planning attacks on SDF-guarded detention centers and manufacturing improvised explosive devices."

"No civilians and no SDF or US forces were killed or injured," the statement concluded.
