Biden to talk cybersecurity with tech execs

United States President Joe Biden is set to meet executives from major technology, financial and energy companies on Wednesday afternoon to discuss cybersecurity, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon's Andy Jassy, Microsoft's Satya Nadella and Alphabet's Sundar Pichai are among those from the tech sector who have confirmed their attendance a the event. Meanwhile, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon and Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan are expected to be among those representing the financial industry.

The cybersecurity summit comes following a string of hacker attacks targeting the US government and the private sector. Amazon, Google and Microsoft have already vowed to provide assistance to the government in tackling ransomware and cyberattacks.

Apple fined €150M in France over ad privacy tool
