Japan's producer price index (PPI), which measures the cost of goods at the factory gate, increased by 0.3% in January over the month, with the year-on-year change being unmoved, according to a report released by the Bank of Japan on Tuesday.
The report further indicated a 0.1% decrease in the country's export price index over the month on a contractual currency basis, with the yearly change increasing by 1.1%. Import prices went down by 9.5% year-on-year but remained flat month-on-month.
