Japan Airlines (JAL) announced on Thursday that it had restored its system to operable after a cyberattack caused it to malfunction, delaying numerous flights.

In a series of tweets, the JAL explained the issue occurred after a "large amount of data" was sent and insisted that "no customer data has been leaked or virus damage has occurred."

It added it managed to restart ticket sales for domestic and international flights but not the stand-by and same-day ticket upgrade systems yet.
