The Japanese Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday its decision to implement sanctions against "nine individuals and organizations, including terrorists," affiliated with the Palestinian branch of Hamas by freezing the assets over the alleged provision of financial support to the group.
Furthermore, the country recently added Hamas operatives Muhammad Ahmad 'Abd Al-Dayim Nasrallah and Ayman Nofal to its list of people and organizations "designated as terrorists." This decision marks the first instance of Japan imposing sanctions against Hamas since their attack on Israel on October 7.
Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions on the main officials and companies that are believed to be part of Hamas's financial network.
