Japan warns of sea level changes after Kamchatka quake

Japan's Meteorological Agency said on Sunday that minor sea level changes are expected along coastal areas from Hokkaido to Okinawa following a powerful earthquake near Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula.

The agency estimated the quake at a magnitude of 7.5 but emphasized that there is no risk of tsunami damage. "There is no concern of harm from a tsunami," officials stated, while advising caution near the shoreline.
