Jazeera confirms $3.4 billion deal with Airbus

Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways revealed on Sunday its board of directors has approved the acquisition of 28 aircraft from Airbus SE in a $3.4 billion transaction, first announced in late 2021.

Furthermore, the airline will buy two engines valued at $32.2 million from the European company.

Jazeera explained in a disclosure document submitted to the Kuwait Stock Exchange that the move won't make an instant financial impact on its current operations, but that it expects positive effects in the medium and long term.

Airbus deliveries down 9% to 56 jets in April
