A federal judge in Tampa granted Florida's request for a preliminary injunction against a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for federal contractors.

"The extent of any absenteeism attributable to COVID-19 among contractors and subcontractors is unexplained," District Judge Steven Merryday wrote in his ruling.

The lawsuit against the Biden administration's mandate was filed in October by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
