Judge Aileen Cannon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida has authorized the release of special counsel Jack Smith's report on his investigation into Donald Trump's attempts to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The ruling permits the Department of Justice to publish a portion of Jack Smith's report while preventing any future legal challenges from Donald Trump or his legal team. Notably, documents related to the classified documents case will remain confidential and will not be disclosed.
Last Friday, Jack Smith resigned from the Department of Justice after concluding his work on criminal investigations involving President-elect Donald Trump.
