Judge: Trump's National Guard deployment illegal

United States District Judge Charles Breyer stated that US President Donald Trump's deployment of the National Guard to California was illegal and violated the Tenth Amendment.

Breyer issued a temporary restraining order, directing the president to return control of the 4,000 National Guard members back to California, saying that the move exceeded his statutory authority.

The White House issued no immediate comment on the ruling.
