Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Justice Minister Constant Mutamba tested positive for poison, the Congolese news portal Actualite reported, citing sources close to the minister.
Forensic experts reportedly found suspicious substances, including white powder and a pungent gas, in the minister's office and nearby areas. Several staff members were also reportedly affected and are currently receiving medical care.
The authorities are treating these events as a direct threat to the minister's ongoing efforts to reform the Congolese justice system.
