Italian football giant Juventus will lose 15 points in the Serie A, the Italian football federation FIGC said on Friday.
The FIGC stated the decision was made as its investigation into the club's transfer dealings between 2019 and 2021 found Juventus used transfers to artificially boost its balance sheet. Juventus had been third in the league standings but will drop to 11th following the point deduction.
In November, the club's board of directors, including President Andrea Agnelli (pictured right) and Vice President Pavel Nedved (pictured left) resigned in the wake of the investigation.
