Tokyo inflation at 2.8% in September

The annual inflation rate in Tokyo stood at 2.8% in September, declining slightly compared to July's 2.9%, the country's Statistics Bureau revealed in its report issued on Friday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew by 0.2%.

The Consumer Price Index, excluding fresh food, came in at 2.5% on an annual level, decreasing from the previous month's 2.8%. Excluding food and energy, the figure landed at 3.8%, down from July's 4.0%.
