Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stressed on Friday that "the fate of Kiryat Shmona is the same as the fate of Beirut," shortly after two rockets were launched from Lebanon at Israel.
Katz warned that without peace in Israel's northern border communities, "there will be no peace in Beirut either."
"The Lebanese government bears direct responsibility for any attacks on the Galilee," he said, adding that Israel aims to "ensure the security of the residents of the Galilee and will act forcefully against any threat."
