French luxury goods corporation Kering announced on Wednesday its revenue in the first half of 2022 amounted to €9.9 billion, marking a 23% increase compared to the same period in 2021. When compared to the first half of 2019, the revenue was up 28%. Gucci's revenue for the same period was the highest, landing at €5.2 billion and rising 15% year over year.
The company's sales in the second quarter of 2022 jumped 20% compared to the same period a year prior. Meanwhile, net income attributable to the Group in the first half of this year hit €1.98 billion, soaring 34% on an annual basis.
"In a period of heightened macro uncertainty, Kering is in great shape to surmount short-term challenges, take advantage of new opportunities, and support the ambitious strategies and tremendous prospects of all our brands," Kering Chairman and CEO Francois-Henri Pinault noted. In addition, the company stated that it "remains confident in its growth potential for the medium and long term."
