Kia's EV sales in US reach all-time high in April

Kia Motors Corp. revealed on Wednesday that its sales of electric vehicles in the United States reached an all-time high in April.

Namely, the carmaker sold 65,754 units in the fourth month of 2024, rising 61% from the previous record achieved in April 2022. The company further said that its models Carnival, Telluride, and Sportage recorded the best April sales "in their respective histories."

"The impressive sales momentum generated by Kia's EV and electrified models in the first quarter continued to accelerate in April with best-ever EV and SUV performances," Kia America Vice President of Sales Operations Eric Watson noted. "With the new Sorento now in showrooms and refreshed Carnival and K5 models arriving later this summer, Kia continues to capture new customers and retain brand loyalists by offering consumers world-class ICE, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric choices," he added.
