Adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mykhailo Podolyak, said on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not ready for dialogue with Kiev, adding that the Ukrainian authorities remain open to negotiations with Moscow once Russian forces withdraw from its territory.
"We are constructive in our assessment: we will talk with the next leader of the Russian Federation," Podolyak wrote on his Twitter page.
Previously, Podoyak issued a similar statement after the four Ukrainian territories were annexed to Russia, noting that "there is no point in negotiating with those who 'dance on bones'." Earlier, Zelensky's adviser warned that the war in Ukraine will likely not end this year.
