Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that United States chargé d'affaires ad interim in Ukraine, John Ginkel, was summoned following Washington's decision to pause weapons deliveries to Kiev.
During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betsa expressed gratitude for US support to date but warned of dire consequences if aid stalls. She underlined that Moscow has rejected both full and conditional ceasefires and has instead ramped up aerial assaults on Ukrainian cities and civilian areas.
Ukrainian officials stressed that "any delay or slowing down in supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities would only encourage the aggressor to continue war and terror, rather than seek peace."
