North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un announced that "it is time to define South Korea as the most hostile state," KCNA reported.
Kim went on to say that Seoul is Pyongyang's "main enemy," adding that he has "no intention of avoiding war." Nonetheless, he noted that the North doesn't plan to unilaterally shake things up on the Korean Peninsula, but will respond to threats if necessary. He remarked that South Korea has taken a "confrontational attitude" and is "working hard" to strengthen its military power.
Last week, Kim underlined that the country must "be more firmly prepared for a military showdown with the enemy" and ordered factories to boost intercontinental ballistic missile launcher output.
