Britain's King Charles III will resume his public duties next week for the first time since being diagnosed with cancer nearly three months ago, Buckingham Palace announced Friday.
According to the statement, the King "will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation." Moreover, the palace stated that the King's medical team was "very encouraged" by his progress during his recovery.
Charles, 75, has limited his public duties since he was diagnosed with a type of cancer in February. The exact type of cancer has not been specified. The diagnosis was made after the King was admitted to the hospital for an enlarged prostate, but it has been confirmed that he does not have prostate cancer, according to the palace.
